"It sounds like...the least mentally painful thing possible right now," she said, looking around at everyone. "Did...did you all grow up here?"

"No, I hail from Northlands." He points towards North. "Much forest, snow."

Not looking at her Shadow answered in a soft voice, "No, I'm from very far away. So far that I know of there are very few people here that actually grew up here. Seems like a lot of people just happen to find their way here one way or another."

She looked at them askance, "Did you move here, or did you end up here like me...?" The entire day was beginning to wear on her, and she looked very exhausted.

Shadow turned to her, "I just ended up here, but you seem very tired...please let me show you to one of the empty rooms." She walked over the her and held out her hand to help her up.

"Thank you..." responded the befuddled young woman, accepting the proffered help. "What about payment...?" She looked worried yet again.

Shadow shrugged her shoulders and started walking down the hall. "I honestly don't think anyone pays the rent here, they just do what they can." She looked from door to door and finally found a room that was empty. "Here you go. If you don't like this one then we'll find another for you. You can decorated it anyway you'd like to."
